A South Florida native, Dr. Andrew Silverman is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with an extensive background in medical research, including 10 certifications and licenses to administer care. He also has several peer-reviewed journals and publications surrounding his areas of interest. After completing his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida in Nutritional Sciences, where he was awarded the Howard Hughes Science for Life Research Grant and the University Scholars Research Grant, Dr. Silverman was inspired to continue his work in the medical field. He completed his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. Following his time there he completed a general adult psychiatry residency in Port Jefferson, New York, at Zucker School of Medicine/Northwell Health at Mather Hospital, before returning to the University of Florida’s campus to complete his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry where he served as chief fellow. He has gained invaluable experience by working at the UF Springhill Health Center, administering psychiatric care to children, teens, and families with a variety of needs. He is currently completing a certificate program in Autism Spectrum Disorders through the University of Florida.
Dr. Silverman is proud to be part of the team at the Center for Treatment of Anxiety and Mood Disorders. He is honored to be administering care to his own community in South Florida.
