Terri Samuels, MS
Terri Samuels has relevant mental health counseling experience on both the national and international level. The Johannesburg, South Africa native spent her formative years in Boca Raton, Florida, and received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Florida Atlantic University. Terri is a nationally certified mental health counselor and completed her masters in science at Nova SouthEastern University. While studying she completed her practicum at the Faulk Center for Counseling, where she was extensively trained in Person-Centered Therapy and was able to complete an internship in Swaziland, South Africa, where she educated adolescents on mental health, while counseling orphans and children with physical disabilities and mental illness.
Terri constantly continues her education to broaden her knowledge and has had training on timely topics such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, child-behavioral issues, adolescent struggles, grief, and relationships. Terri understands that clients find themselves suffering in various ways and is able to provide the necessary comfort, support and encouragement to those in their time of need.
Terri holds certifications and is knowledge-aware in Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Sand-Tray Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mental Health Integrative Medicine.
