Dianna Kalpakian, PhD

Dr. Kalpakian is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Dr. Kalpakian is an expert in providing therapy to children with chronic medical conditions who experience difficulties related to adjustment to illness, coping, and adherence. Dr. Kalpakian also has extensive experience providing individual and group therapy for children and adolescents with disordered eating and/or weight management concerns. She also provides therapy to children with anxiety, depression, OCD, adjustment disorders, and behavioral difficulties. Dr. Kalpakian utilizes various treatment approaches to meet client’s needs including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Parent Management Training, and Motivational Interviewing.

Dr. Kalpakian earned her Ph.D in clinical psychology from Texas Tech University. She completed a pediatric psychology internship in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Florida and a combined clinical/research postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.
